Place the end of the tap measure on the top edge of the drum lampshade and measurable down to the bottom edge. Write this measurement down to the depth of shade. This measurement is also used to determine the inclined if the lower diameter is slightly larger. Measure the distance between the top of the drum lamp shades attachment and the top of the shade. This measurement is needed to determine how much of an angle that the center piece should be at the new lamp shade.
