Cut a circle of 1-inch plywood with a jigsaw. The diameter of the circle should be equal to three-quarters of the surface of the pedestal dining tables and will form the base of the pedestal. Place a flange of the 3-inch metal pipe with a thread in the center of the base of the pedestal. Mark the locations of the screw holes with a pencil. Make a 1/16 pilot hole in each pencil mark. Smoothness the entire surface of the wood with 120 grit sandpaper to remove any imperfections side by the saw or drill.

Screw the flange of the pedestal base with 1-inch screws. The thickness of the flange will prevent the screws protruding from the other side of the plywood. Place the second tab in the center of the bottom of the pedestal dining tables top and mark the screw holes. Pilot holes in the pencil marks, being careful not to go all the way through the surface of the table.
